Marilyn Eelkema is a mother, grandmother, and pharmacist who contracted polio during the last major outbreak in the United States. She graduated from the University of Minnesota with a BS in pharmacy and the University of St Thomas with an MBA. She has worked as a pharmacist at HealthPartners for the past 24 years after working in retail, nursing home, and hospital pharmacy.

Dr. Robert Veninga is Professor Emeritus in the School of Public Health at the University of Minnesota an award-winning author. He has published four books and over 100 publications in professional and scientific literature. He is a member of the Teacher’s Hall of Fame at the University of Minnesota and is listed in Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who in US Writers, Editors and Poets.
