October is over, but we have heard from many clubs that they need a little more time to complete their Polio Event. So, our STRIKE OUT POLIO campaign here in District 5960 Has been extended to November 15th.
When polio is eradicated, WE ALL WIN! And the more we all are part of the team, the sooner that day will come, and we can celebrate! We’ve had a great response to our STRIKE OUT POLIO campaign so far.
HELP US FINISH STRONG TO STRIKE OUT POLIO!
Polio eradication is Rotary’s most significant priority, and we aren’t going to stop until we get the job
done. And, in the current environment, we know how much a viral outbreak can affect our society.
We would like to encourage you to donate to Polio Plus this month. We encourage you to give something, regardless of the amount. It costs less than $5 to vaccinate a child fully, so any amount helps!
We want to encourage you to be generous, though, so we have extended the special matching program.
We will reward and recognize people who give at two levels:
BASE HIT: Give at least $100 to Polio Plus during October, and the donation will be matched 1:1 with Recognition Points and a membership to the POLIO PLUS SOCIETY.
HOME RUN: Give at least $365 (the equivalent of $1/day) to Polio Plus during October. In addition to the POLIO PLUS SOCIETY membership, we will utilize Recognition Points to make you a Paul Harris Fellow!
Once you’ve decided how much you are comfortable giving, it’s easy to give to PolioPlus: You can provide a check (made payable to The Rotary Foundation with “PolioPlus” in the memo line) to your Club President or Foundation Team Lead or you can make a payment online at Donate | Rotary International. One note: you need a My Rotary account to give through Rotary Direct, so CLICK HERE for easy set-up instructions.
Remember, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is a great partner in the effort to eradicate polio:
